Throughout the years, American State Bank and Trust Company has been a leader in community development projects. The success of these projects make our region a better place to live and raise our families. American State Bank and its employees support the Williston Community and surrounding areas through their generous donations of time, talents and financial resources.
United Way
Throughout the years American State Bank & Trust Company has been a strong supporter of the United Way Campaign with 100% employee participation. The employee's donations along with matching funds from the bank contribute over 10% of the total annual budget for the local United Way.
Red Friday
American State Bank & Trust Company encourages all employees to participate in a national program called “Red Friday.” The idea behind Red Friday is to show support in unity for our troops and their families in this time of war. By wearing red we are voicing our love for country and home. The idea is to wear red each and every Friday until all of our troops are home safe. Most of us know a soldier serving in this war or in past wars by way of families or friends, so you understand the impact at home. Please join American State Bank & Trust Company in supporting our troops by getting the word out by wearing something red every Friday.
Teacher of the Month
Teachers, they hold our children's future in their hands. We believe it is important to honor teachers who go the extra mile to make an impact. If you're a student, parent, or know a teacher whose efforts deserve to be rewarded, write to Teacher of the Month, P.O. Box 1287, Williston, ND 58802 and explain why. If your nominee is chosen, they will be recognized for their outstanding effort.
Hometown Dollars
Since 1987, the American State Bank & Trust Company has offered the Hometown Dollars Program. Each year, the Bank makes available $600,000 of interest free loans to qualified applicants. Customers and area residents may borrow up to $1,000 interest free for nine months to assist in their holiday shopping. Since the inception of the program, American State Bank & Trust Company has provided over $11 million dollars to area residents which are spent exclusively in Williston.
