Cash Management
Payroll direct deposit or direct billing is available as part of the Bank's cash management service.  Cash management gives you the ability to upload an ACH file created by your existing system.  We also offer the ability to create an ACH file from within Cash Management at no additional cost.

Direct deposit guards against lost checks and gives your employees the benefit of knowing their paycheck has been safely deposited into their checking or savings account whether they are at home or away on business.

Direct billing allows you to manage your company's funds more efficiently. American State Bank customers pre-authorize their accounts to be directly billed on a specific day and the funds credited to you. The following ACH Processing Schedules are provided to help you submit files to ensure timely posting during weekends and holidays.  The online banking system allows file submission any day of the week, including weekends; however, processing of the ACH file is dependent on open business days of the bank and the Federal Reserve Bank.

* Files received after 3:00 p.m. on a business day shall not have an effective date earlier than the second business day after initiation.  For example, ACH files submitted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon will post to account on the following Monday.  The effective date posting does not take into consideration error and returned files.
